The Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University released a new report on a Civic Science Journalism pilot initiative, co-created in partnership with the Rita Allen Foundation, to seed and support experimental, cross-field collaborations. Many of the twelve projects funded in 2023 tapped into journalists’ interest in engaging their audience and the desire of many scientists to have an impact on peoples’ lives. Civic Science Fellow Catherine Devine shares takeaways from the completed projects on Medium. The collaborative pilot will inform a new round of grant opportunities and support in 2025.
