The Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University has announced a new funding opportunity for civic science media projects with support from the Rita Allen Foundation. The open call for pilot awards to accelerate civic science media collaborations across the United States was inspired by a global research project led by Sarah Stonebely, with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and builds on a 2023 Civic Science Journalism Cross-Field Collaborations pilot by the Center and Rita Allen Foundation, as well as a subsequent report learning from the 12 experimental projects.
