Second Round of “Listen for Good” Grantees Includes Public Lab

The Fund for Shared Insight has announced a second cohort of Listen for Good grantees, a group of 13 nonprofits working to advance community health, youth development, civic science and more. With support from Fund for Shared Insight and from nominating co-funders, these organizations will develop robust systems for collecting and using feedback from stakeholders.

Among the organizations selected to receive funding is the Public Laboratory for Open Technology and Science (Public Lab), which builds open-source hardware and software that enable scientists and community members to collaboratively investigate local environmental health issues. The Rita Allen Foundation supports Public Lab’s work in civic science and is sponsoring its participation in Listen for Good.
